Description

It is a large closed plain with a polygonal enclosure, very eroded with a diameter of 153 km and an average depth of 2400 m.

Its seemingly smooth soil, is actually riddled with small craters and alveoli.

To the north, and backed by Ptolemaeus, there is a very beautiful crater with clear contours and tiered ramparts, Herschel (41 km/3770 m).
